This dress was purchased at David's Bridal in Summer of 2013. Sadly, we went to have minor alterations done and there we met with some unfortunate circumstances. The tailor we took the dress to became ill and one of the other employees of the shop attempted to insert the zipper we had requested. It was done all wrong, and obviously in a huge rush, causing the back of the dress not to lie flat and the buttons down the back were poorly reattached and were no longer aligned. We asked them to add a bustle loop and, rather than the traditional white loop to hook onto one of the buttons, the attached a metal eyelet hook-and-loop, which stood out inappropriately on the back of the dress. We were weeks away from the wedding and rather than struggle to get the dress fixed, we ended up buying another one of the same dress, had it rush shipped, and it was worn unaltered. The dress is gorgeous and we loved it despite some last minute worry. The dress we are selling is the original dress, in the state we brought it home from the tailor. We feel that a skilled tailor or seamstress (or someone who works at a bridal shop) could easily purchase this dress, make the proper alterations to fix the damage that was done, and sell the dress for higher than this purchase price. The dress has never actually been worn, save for 4 fittings. It is practically brand new and we would love for someone to be able to save this beautiful garment!
